Emily Gilliland is a creative individual with demonstrated success building effective teams and sustainable organizations centered in diversity, equity, inclusion, and justice through effective strategy, managed implementation, and collaboration within and across communities.

Highlights
• Expertise in turn around and start-up environments including building operations systems and growing sustainable revenue.
• Disaster response, crisis recovery operations, and spontaneous volunteer management experience during Hurricane Katrina, Hurricane Sandy, COVID-19, and local disasters.
• Trained tens of thousands of individuals at the local, state, and national level in person and online towards the goal of building stronger communities through civic engagement.
• Appointed as Commissioner to two state service commissions including serving as Chair of the Oregon Commission for Voluntary Action and Service.
• Senior Fellow, American Leadership Forum Oregon
• Portland Business Alliance “Leadership Portland” Graduate.
• Two years as an AmeriCorps Member.
